Fighting domestic violence with the power of Rocky Horror!

It’s 2 days until the Heroes for Hope charity 5K, and with the help of the Rocky Horror community (and our families and friends – hi, Mom!) we have raised nearly $4500 to fight domestic violence. Rocky Horror plays in 32 states in the US – we have donations from 29 of them!

When we wake up Sunday morning to put on our makeup, pull on our fishnets and lace up our shoes, we believe we’ll have $4711 to hand to the fine folks at Family Shelter Service. Thanks to all of you for your help!

If you’d like to donate and you haven’t yet (calling our friends from New Mexico, South Carolina and Tennessee!), you can at http://fss.donorpages.com/HeroforHope2014/CompletelyCrazy/

Next week is October and we’ll be getting ready for Halloween.

Heroes for Hope (in fishnets!) Please help us beat the Girl Scouts!

We’re walking 5K in our Rocky Horror costumes for local domestic violence shelter Family Shelter Services on Sept. 28. We need your help – our goal is $4711! (Want to know why? Take a good look at Frank’s leg when you come see the show Saturday.)

Please bring a little extra cash to the show – we will be collecting for the charity. Every little bit helps, and we love you for it. The shelter is just down the street from our theater. They help thousands of people in our community, and even $5 will fund a child’s breakfast in the shelter. (And we really, really want to be the Girl Scouts team.)

Welcome Rocky Horror convention attendees!

Completely Crazy would like to extend a big Denton Welcome to Rocky Horror fans in town for the Chicago convention “Transylvania Carnivale” June 19-22. We’re thrilled that some of you will be attending our show and even guest performing with us on Saturday, June 21!

Locals, don’t miss this show- you can see performers from across the country at good old Hollywood Blvd USA, and if you think we’re crazy at a regular weekly show, just wait til you meet our friends from around the country!

Thanks for your help!

We enjoy doing charity work at Completely Crazy; thanks to our audience from our Memorial Day show. We donated a third of the proceeds from prop kit sales to Paws for Purple Hearts, a charity which Paws for Purple Hearts (PPH) teaches veterans and active duty personnel with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to train service dogs for their comrades with combat-related injuries. PPH is built upon the trusted and time-honored tradition of Veterans helping Veterans.

Thanks for helping us support this worthy cause!

Summer Shenanigans – and call for new members

It’s summer! Our college members are back from school and we’re going to be shaking up the lineup. So expect to see some new faces in different roles.

If you’d like to be one of those new faces (or hang out behind the scenes, doing Lights or Security, so you can be one of the cool kids but not have to get onstage), talk to any cast member at the show. See you at Hollywood Blvd!

It’s spring, and we’re looking for dick!

We were starting to wonder if winter would ever end. Well, it has, and Completely Crazy is looking for dick!

it's true - her legs do go all the way up to her neck!
Trixie in April

That’s right, if you own a dick and you’d like to join the cast, WE WANT YOU! We are looking for new performers (crew, security and lighting also welcome), particularly people with dicks. (People who ARE dicks, please don’t apply.) To join cast, see Jessie at the show for an application, or ask any cast member to point her out to you.

Starting off 2014 with a high kick, and a charity stair climb!

Happy 2014! Hope yours is successful and full of joy and a lot of fun. We’ll be putting on a hell of a show every Saturday; come join us!

As part of our 2014 activities, we’re participating in the Feb. 9 Fight for Air stair climb – scaling the Western Suburbs’ tallest building, the Oakbrook Terrace Tower (31 flights of stairs!) in our Rocky costumes. The firefighters in full gear beat our time last year, but we think we look better in stockings. (If you’re a firefighter and you can prove otherwise, please PLEASE send us the photos!) Proceeds benefit the American Lung Association.

The walkers - we had two finish in the top 400!
The climbers from 2013 – we had two finish in the top 400!

Seriously, it seems like half the crowd at Rocky smokes, and frankly, so does half the cast. We’ll need the American Lung Association someday, so please give generously at the show. You can also donate here:
