Domestic violence sucks. Please help us fight it!

This is Alexander. He’s a cat, but he’s donated for the last 3 years to the Heroes for Hope 5K against domestic violence!

We’d like to thank Alexander, and thank the rest of our friends who’ve donated more than $500 so far to fight domestic violence. We are 10% of the way to our goal of $4711!
You can help too: please give at http://fss.donorpages.com/WalkRun/ Tell us Alexander sent you!

Taking a break July 5 – we’re back July 12!

At the Hardcore Hearse Show in Lombard

We love summer. We’ve had a fantastic time, with cast members visiting a hearse show in Lombard, and visiting alumni in a production of the Rocky Horror Show in Joliet! And we love performing for you. But we won’t be on July 5 – our theater isn’t showing Rocky Horror that weekend, so we’re taking a break for barbecue and fireworks. We’ll be back July 12 and who knows what shenanigans we’ll get up to?

We are Taking Applications!

As you know, we do Rocky Horror because we love it. Do you love it too? Would you like to join us?

We are looking for performers, or if you prefer not to run around in your underwear, Security, Props, Lighting and Crew.

See us at the Hollywood Blvd and pick up an application form!

(We are all volunteer, so nope, not getting paid. But we have a damn good time.)

Miss Us?

Whoa, that was weird. Hollywood Blvd, our theater, showed 50 Shades of Grey at midnight on Valentine’s Day instead of Rocky Horror.

We missed you – hope you missed us! Please be our belated Valentines – we’ll see you at Hollywood Blvd next Saturday, Feb. 21.

Love,

Climbing Stairs to Fight Lung Cancer

Getting ready to climb Oakbrook Terrace Tower
Getting ready to climb Oakbrook Terrace Tower

Thank you to our audience and other supporters for a very successful Fight for Air stair climb to fight lung cancer on Feb 8! Our 6 person team all finished, and with your help we raised $1350 for the American Lung Association.

We were featured in the Chicago Tribune on-line and our photos from the event were shared by Lady Patricia Stephens (Pat Quinn, who played Magenta!) on her Facebook page.

We’re now the #1 Google result for both “Rocky Horror” + Charity and for “Rocky Horror” + “Fight for Air” and we’re so proud.

Love to you all – cancer sucks!

We walked. We did Halloween. Now for the rest of the year!

Thanks very much to all our fans who donated and made the Hero for Hope event a huge success!

The team
The team

Our audience, friends and family raised over $5000 for the Family Shelter Service domestic violence shelter! The team won top fundraiser, with Audrey and Ruth netting top individual fundraiser honors, AND three cast members earned medals for their times (about an hour to walk 5K) – Desmond and Dylan won 2nd and 3rd, and Olivia won 2nd in their age divisions!

Thank you to everyone for opening your hearts and wallets. We went right from the 5K into the Halloween season, which was crazy and wonderful and we’re gonna LOVE next year, when Halloween’s on a Saturday! See you at the show…
