Completely Crazy started in the late 1980s. We’ve been all over Chicagoland, and we’re delighted to bring you our colorful brand of mayhem every week as Chicagoland’s only weekly Rocky Horror showing. Some history:
We took our current name in 1990, performing at the Prospect Theater in Mount Prospect and at the Palwaukee Theater. Former venues include the beautiful Mundelein; the Des Plaines; the Village Theater (Chicago); the Trade Winds (Hanover Park); the Glenwood Theater; the Biograph (in Chicago, where Dillinger was shot); the Arcada (St. Charles) and Hollywood Blvd. in Woodridge, where we’ve been performing since October 2004. We have also performed at the Excalibur club in Chicago; Columbia College; the Egyptian Theatre (DeKalb) and at a clothing-optional resort in northwest Indiana that will remain nameless.
Cast members have performed in the All-Star Show in Berlin; at the 20th and 25th anniversary conventions; various regional conventions; the Fox television premiere; and a few even made the final cut for the Blu-Ray picture-in-picture cast. (Ask our alum Fred about her brief appearance in the Rocki Whore Picture Show porn parody – yes, she kept her clothes on.) In 2011, Hollywood Blvd welcomed Patricia Quinn and Barry Bostwick, who appeared at the theater in October. Completely Crazy performed two shows to sold-out audiences and drafted fellow Chicagoland casts to perform for the overflow audience.
