Upcoming Events: a Crapload of Shows! 5K Fundraising walk update!

SAM 2221p - Upcoming Events: a Crapload of Shows! 5K Fundraising walk update!

October, we love you! We nearly sold out tonight (200+ people!), and on October 27 at Hollywood Blvd, as part of our big Halloween blowout we will have TWO theaters with casts performing the film simultaneously! Warm up for that with Rocky at the Arcada in St. Charles Friday, Oct. 26…then come back for more on Oct. 31, where Rocky Horror will cap the Arcada’s big Halloween party (the Genitorturers will be there!).

Oct. 21, next Sunday, we will be raising awareness of Rocky Horror and raising money for Family Shelter Service by walking 5K in costume after putting on another kickass October show for you – thank you to our amazing, wonderful, we-love-you audience for contributing $140+ at the show. We’re gonna try to break $2000 raised- please help by donating on-line at our fundraising page if you can. $2, $5, whatever you can. Thanks!

Have we told you lately that we love you?

When our audience at Hollywood Blvd. raised $91 last week for Family Shelter Service, including $50 from one very generous (if slightly embarrassed) gentleman, we were impressed.
So we asked you to beat that total this week. And did you. You guys donated more than $123 to the cause on Saturday. And we know most of you are poor-ass broke, so we are doubly grateful.
We will sweat our asses off for you as we strut through Downers Grove in our fishnets on Oct. 21 at the Run For Her Life 5K fundraiser. By then we expect to have raised $1000 to support Family Shelter Service’s work in our area – thanks to you. We love you!

Upcoming Shows – Pirates, Arcada, and Fishnets, Oh My!

The long slide into Halloween is starting!

The last Friday of the month we have a show at the ARCADA in St. Charles August 31. We’re there every month! Show is at 11pm, and we’ll be bringing our new Rocky Horror buttons. Like the Hollywood, they have a bar and memorabilia (mostly rock and roll). Unlike the Hollywood, they have twisty gold columns and a fancy painted ceiling. Come mix it up with us!

Superhero Night was such a hit at Hollywood Blvd that we’re proud to announce ARRRRH!HPS – PIRATE NIGHT on Sept. 15 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of International Talk Like a Pirate Day. We’re on their calendar of events (don’t believe us? check out http://www.talklikeapirate.com/piratehome.html).

So pull out your eyepatch, repurpose that bandana as a pirate kerchief, and tell our waitstaff you want a bottle of rum – we’ll make sure you have a little Captain (Frank N Furter) in you!

More dressed than we plan to be!

Finally, YES, we are doing a 5K walk in costume through downtown Downers Grove for Family Shelter Services. We’ve raised over $150 thanks in large part to our generous audience and of course our families and friends (Hi, Mom!). Please bring some extra change to the show, and drop your change in the 5K “Run For Her Life” tip jar after buying your prop kits. We hate domestic violence – Frank and Columbia can tell you it’s killer.

You can also donate on-line: http://www.active.com/donate/fssrunforherlife/ccrhps We don’t take credit cards…but they do.

See you at the shows!

We’ll be raising money against domestic violence by walking 5K in costume!

More dressed than we plan to be!

Completely Crazy will brave the unknown realm of early Sunday morning for a 5K walk in costume in downtown Downers Grove on October 21 to raise money for Family Shelter Services. (They’re encouraging people to dress as superheroes, and in October you know who our superheroes are.)

Come cheer us on – or make a donation so you don’t have to get up early too.

Event starts at the Downers Grove North High School in Downers Grove, IL at 8:30 am on Oct. 21 (we had no idea morning came so early).

You can support us at http://www.active.com/donate/fssrunforherlife/ccrhps.

Music at Rocky: we need your opinion!

Hey you!
DJ blow my speakers up

If you’re in our audience, we’d like to know:
* Who are your two favorite musical artists?
* What song would you like us to play as part of our walk-in music?
* What song would you like to see as a pre-show musical number?
* Which theater do you see us at? (Arcada or Hollywood?)
* How old are you? (Nearest five years: 15-20, 20-25, 25-30, etc.)

Please post your answers as a comment and we’ll tote up the numbers.

Thanks!

Back from the con!

We sent a group of people to The Celluloid Jam 2 Rocky Horror Convention this last weekend, and they had a blast! They’re back, full of energy and excitement, and we’re looking forward to sharing that with you at our regular venues, the Hollywood Blvd. and Arcada Theaters.

We’ll be posting pictures and video after we’ve had a chance to recuperate – watch this space!
